Coach Sergey was born in Russia.  He started gymnastics at 7 years old and at 9 years old he moved to the Russia Olympic Training Center where he trained until her was 17.  Coach Sergey was a Jr. & Sr. National Team member, he was National Champion in 1980.  He has coached in Russia and owned his own gym.  In 1988 he went into the Russian Circus for 15 years.  In 2000 Coach Sergey made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for Trapeze Long Jump of 43 feet.  Coach Sergey started coaching in Reno in 2000 and started coaching at HSG in September, 2007.  Coach Sergey’s goal for his gymnasts:  “Learn life skills, such as discipline, hard work, etc.”  Coach Sergey likes to fish, go camping and hiking during his free time.
