Laurie Satmary is the owner of High Sierra Gymnastics.

Laurie was born in Hartford, Connecticut but has lived in the area since 1984.  Laurie, her husband Mike and two kids Trenton and Mckenzie have lived in Reno since 2002 moving from Truckee where Mike still works.  Her main gymnastic involvement was as a competitive cheerleader during High School at Tahoe-Truckee High School where there was a lot of tumbling in their routines.  Coach Laurie’s goal for her gymnasts is: “To learn listening skills, follow directions, be supportive of others and enjoy learning about the world of gymnastics.” 

Laurie enjoys reading, watching gymnastics, and being with her family.

Coach Roger was born in Marion, Indiana.  His gymnastic experience includes three years in High School and two years in College.  He has coached gymnastics for over 26 years.  Coach Roger’s goal for his gymnasts is: “To achieve feelings of pride, confidence, accomplishment and happiness about their effort.”  Coach Roger likes traveling to new places, hike, golf and read.  He is also working hard to develop the “Perfect Margarita”! 

Coach Christin was born in Montebello, California.  She was a competitive gymnast until she turned 15.  She retired at Class 1 (currently Level 10) She has been a coaching for 19 years.  She coaches ages 1 through competitive levels.  Coach Christin’s goals for her gymnasts: “To be successful, whether it’s earning a college scholarship, making it to Level 4 State Meet, or learning a cartwheel.  I want them to set goals that are attainable and work hard to achieve them.  That is an important life skill every gymnast can benefit from no matter what their skill level is. ”  Coach Christin like to spend time with her family. Play soccer, go on outdoors adventures and just have fun and enjoy life!  Coach Christin is the Girls Team Head Coach.

Coach Patso was born in Sofia, Bulgaria.  He has been a coach for 13 years.  Coach Patso’s goal for his gymnasts is: “To be the best.”  Coach Patso likes to chill when he is not working hard at the gym.  Coach Patso coaches the Boys Team.

Coach Stephanie was born in Streator, Illinois.  She did High School gymnastics and started coaching in 1976 for a YMCA Team.  She has been here since 1992.  Coach Stephanie’s goal for her gymnasts is:" To be the best they can be and to support each of them with their personal goals.  To make a difference in each of their lives.”  Coach Stephanie like to travel, read and watch soaps operas in her free time.  Coach Stephanie coaches the Boys Team.

Coach Debbie was born in Oakland, California.  Her gymnastic experience has been through her kids and husband.  She has been a gym mom, a board member of the booster club and is the previous  owner of High Sierra Gymnastics.  Coach Debbie’s goal for the gymnasts is “To grow up in a healthy environment and to become committed, responsible and caring adults.”  Coach Debbie like to garden, go hiking, do photography and be with her family.  Coach Debbie helps in the office.

Coach Andrew was born in Reno, Nevada.  He has been on the High Sierra Gymnastics Team for 10 years and is a Level 10.  He has been All Round State Champion 2 times, to 9 Regional Championships and 4 National Championships.  He is the Boy’s Team Captain.  He started coaching April, 2006.  Coach Andrew’s goal for his Gymnast’s:  “Is for them to get the best out of their workout every day they come in.  Coach Andrew likes to go camping, to the movies and play other sports whenever he gets the chance.  Coach Andrew coaches Beginning Boy Classes.

Coach Ashley was born in Boulder Colorado.  She has  8 years gymnastics experience and retired as a level 6.  Coach Ashley has 4 years cheerleading experience as a all-star and high school cheerleader.  She started coaching in 2001 and started here August, 2006.  Coach Ashley’s goal for her Gymnast’s:  “To love the sport of gymnastics and to learn as much as they want to by pushing their own limits.”  Coach Ashley likes to write, run, hang out with her friends and watch football.  Coach Ashley helps coach the girls team.

 Coach Danielle was born in Reno, Nevada.  She has 11 years gymnastics experience and retired as a level 8.    Coach Danielle started coaching here August, 2006.  Coach Danielle’s goal for her Gymnast’s:  “To go on and compete at High Sierra.”  Coach Danielle likes to watch movies, go swimming, horseback riding, and shopping.  Coach Danielle coaches Advance Beginning Girl classes.

Lindsay was born in Wyandotte, Michigan.  She started working in the office in September, 2007.  Lindsay’s goal for the office is:  “To keep it organized and to be helpful to the parents, students, and coaches.”  Lindsay enjoys shopping, scrapbooking, cooking with her roommate and taking pictures.
